A Touch Of Class Recordings

"If you've yet to hear this bomb from the home of A Touch Of Class, the best descriptive analogy I could give would imagine the Bee Gees on acid making a record with Felix da Housecat. That over used electro - sound clash phrase is however very apt with this sure fire offering that's a juxtaposition of original and innovative with parody of the brothers Gibb distinctive falsetto stylings. A record that I firmly believe is set to breakdown boundaries and set the charts alight. "

The Scissor Sisters are bold, brash newcomers to the NYC music scene with sounds that have linked grassroots phychedelica with explosive disco arena anthems." This Pink Floyd "cover" from The Wall album is already an established underground hit. The band has recently been signed by a major in the U.K. and these mixes are bound to be released again.

Comfortably Numb part 1+2 taken from the longplayer A Touch Of Class Sucks! and packaged here with a "Psychedelic Dance Rock" Remix by A Touch Of Class and a "It's Hot In Herre" style Remix and Dub by Tiga as well as the Original extended mix gives you the complete single release it deserves.

Scissor Sisters consist of three downtown celebutards: Ana Matronic, a mistress of disguise. Babydaddy, who's electronic compositions feature a down-low under-pop and frontman Jake Shears. With vocal stylings that have been coined a blend of Sylvester and early George Michael, Shears expels electro-charged tales that range from hallucinating fashion industry prostitutes to adulterous rock'n roll hairdressers, injecting all with unabashed, hands-in-the air fun. Babydaddy and Shears originally met in Kentucky and were introduced by a mutual friend to Ana Matronic while waiting in the lobby for a screening of Captain EO at Disneyland. It was on the Teacup ride that the three realized they shared influences that range as wide as the early nineties Cologne acid scene to The Muppet Show; their sisterhood was sealed in the Haunted Mansion with a pair of rusted scissors and bound index fingers.
