A Touch Of Class Recordings

Oliver Stumm and Dominique Clausen are the production duo A Touch of Class (ATOC) that do everything from sound programming and engineering-to artwork and web design-to running their record label which is dubbed by a similar name: A Touch of Class Recordings.

They have had repeated success producing chart toppers such as "Flawless" (by The Ones, also on George Michael's "Patience" album) and Scissor Sisters' "Comfortably Numb" for their own label imprint before licensing it on to major labels.

This 12" shows their ability to write and produce their own material and demonstrates the ATOC signature sound they have been so successful with, combining established music formulas with unconventional studio technique while transcending genres of Rock, Club, Electro and Disco,

"Not You-Me" is reminiscent of new wave punk with a modern twist using avant-garde studio technology. The head-nodding bassline thuds in and out between synth distortion and straight-up rock while the hi-hats pop and crash. Lisa Rovner-D'Haucourt brings vocal sweetness by the likes of Nena while incorporating edginess.

On the flip side is the killer-post punk dance rock dub track aptly named "Streetdub".

ATOC have remixed the likes of Le Tigre, Erasure, The Alpine, etc
