THE ONES AND ONLY

Following David Hasselhoff, Audrey Landers, and the Backstreet Boys in the long line of homegrown honeys who have really hit big in Europe, the Ones are taking the continent by storm. The trio of high - fashion New York freaks got together while founding member Nashom( better known to nightlife nellies as drag queen Mona Foot) was filming a role in Joel's Schumacher "Flawless". When Schulmacher told Nashom to submit songs for the soundtrack, he called Jackie 60 legend Paul Alexander, and together they wrote the song "Flawless", produced by the hot team A Touch of Class.The duo thought a trio would work better and called in DJ Jo Jo Americo. "He has so much to bring to the table with his look and energy and ideas", says Nashom. Though "Flawless" wasn't used on the soundtrack, two-and-a-half years later the song was picked up by Positiva Records in Europe and became the smash hit of last summer in Ibiza.The song recently entered the British Top Ten at number 7, and now The Ones are off to London to film the TV show Top of the Pops. A taste of stardom abroad has the group hungering for more. "We want to go all the way," Alexander says cheerfully."Lunchboxes and trading cards-like the Spice Girls."
